Liz Carskadon Bale

About Liz

Liz is a Certified Ophthalmic Assistant who graduated from the University of Oregon with a Bachelor of Science in Human Physiology in 2006.

After working as an ophthalmic photographer and retinal technician for several years, she discovered an aptitude for clinical research while working alongside Dr. Hunter.

In 2019, Liz joined the physicians at Cascade Medical Research Institute to launch the research department. Since its inception, she has worked on over a dozen studies across several retinal indications. Outside of work, Liz enjoys spending time with her husband and two children.

Lexi Price-Breeze

Clinical Research Coordinator

Lexi graduated from the University of Oregon with a Bachelor of Science in Human Physiology in 2018. She has been working in healthcare for 10 years in a variety of specialty practices including pediatrics, gynecology, geriatric care and nephrology.

She has been a part of the CMRI team for over five years as a coordinator on several diabetic retinopathy and macular degeneration studies and was the lead coordinator on all of CMRI’s oral drug studies.

Kierstin Kimbell

Clinical Research Coordinator

Kierstin Kimbell graduated from the University of Oregon with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and Art in 2024. While new to the retina field, she has worked in research for several years in neurobiology and prevention sciences.

She has been a part of the CMRI team for one year as a coordinator and has taken on multiple studies since joining. She enjoys being a part of a team that helps people in a personal setting while contributing to positive change in the healthcare field.
